BY WHU?

BYU(20-1, 6-0 MWC) got a huge victory last night at home against San Diego State(20-1, 5-1 MWC). This game was a very simple one. Everyone knew it was going to come down to how one guy was going to play. Jimmer Fredette boosted himself past Kemba Walker last night, in my mind, in the player of the year race. Fredette put 43 points on a very good San Diego State defense. He was 14 for 24(58.3%) shooting, and he was 5 for 8(62.5%) from behind the arc. He was sensational, of course he did get some help. But for the most part, Fredette was lights out and he is the clear leader of this BYU team. The Aztecs are no longer the team everybody is talking about, BYU is.-Josh Neighbors
