Panther Warning

Like normal, the big east is going to be very good this year. Every year you see the same teams at the top but you never really are sure who will lead the pack. This year it looks like it will be the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Panthers had a rebuilding year last year after the loss of Levance Fields, DeJaun Blair, and Sam Young. They are lead by last years breakout star Ashton Gibbs. Gibbs is a great shooter and exceptional from the free throw line, last year he shot 89% from the line. Brad Wanamaker will be a big part of the team, as he is a great outside shooter. A down team in the big east this year may be Villanova. Nova is left without star point guard Scottie Reynolds who lead them last year. The recruiting class is good as usual, but they are still to young to be a massive threat. Coach Jay Wright has a long, but promising, path ahead. Once again the big east will be one of the most intriguing conferences to watch.
